会合のお知らせ

加速器に関する日韓セミナーと核データに関するワークショップ

昨秋，今春の部会総会でも紹介致しましたが，日本原子力学会の加速器，放射 線工学，核データ，炉物理の四部会と韓国原子力学会及び物理学会の部会との 共催で，添付ファイルのような「Advanced utilization of accelerators」と 題する夏期セミナーを開催することになりました。加速器の先端利用とその基 礎となる放射線工学，核データ，炉物理の内容を基礎から先端まで講義とセミ ナーで勉強しようという試みで大学院生に対する夏の学校の性格も兼ね備えて います。

期日　7月26日-30日 場所　韓国Pohang 加速器研究所　

この中では，講義の他に加速器を使った学生実験，学生の交流を図る学生セッ ション，そして通常8月末にPohangで開催されてきたPohang Nuclear Data Workshop も学生実験と平行して開催されます。　　 　 詳細は添付の案内を参照下さい。現在，プログラム，費用等のツメを行ってお り，部分的に変更になる可能性も含みおき下さい。

Korea-Japan Seminar on the Advanced Utilization of Particle Accelerator
and 2004 Workshop on Nuclear Data Production and Evaluation.

Korea-Japan Seminar on the Advanced Utilization of Particle Accelerator
Place : Pohang Accelerator Laboratory, Republic of Korea
Date : 26 July - 31 July, 2004.

The seminar is the joint seminar organized by Atomic Energy Society of
Japan and Korea Nuclear Society. This is four day lecture for graduate
students and young scientists.

Registration Fee : 300,000 KRW (or 30,000 JPY)

Lecture topics:

1. Present status and the future of particle accelerators
1) Achievement and future prospect
2) New application: principle and practice, medical use, analysis,
   processing of materials, ADS
3) Direction and problems in the accelerator development and
   accelerator application.

2. Present status and the future of radiation engineering
1) New devices and methods for radiation measurement; nano and femto
   scale
2) Transport analysis of accelerator-relevant radiations and
   accelerator safety design

3. Present status and the future of nuclear data relevant to
   accelerator application
1) New nuclear data relevant to advanced accelerator application
2) Production of nuclear data and an intelligent utilization system of
   nuclear data

4. Reactor physics and engineering relevant to ADS
1) Principle and problems of ADS
2) Reactor physics and nuclear transmutation in ADS

2004 Workshop on Nuclear Data Production and Evaluation

Registration Fee : Free

The workshop is sponsored by Korean Nuclear Data Development project
to exchange information on the facility, experiment, and evaluation
status for nuclear data.
